FIFA will start the World Cup in Qatar a day ahead .

The opening ceremonies will kick off in the early evening in the Netherlands and Senegal on Monday and could actually take place ahead of the opening match at Arbeit Stadium. 

The World Cup in Qatar could start a day earlier than planned because of FIFA’s Gianni Ying, a person familiar with the proposal told The Associated Press on Wednesday. 

He said a decision could be made within days by a committee made up of  president Fantino and the heads of the six continental football federations. 

The proposal to create a 29-day tournament instead of the long-planned 28-day tournament has been backed by Qatari officials and South American football’s governing body CONMEBOL,

with Qatari and Ecuadorian football associations also involved.

The World Cup kicks off on Monday 21st November, with the Netherlands playing Senegal at 1pm. Doha local time. 

Qatar and Ecuador are also in Group A, but the match was due to start six hours later on the same day. After the draw in Doha on April 1,

the match schedule was finalized, including the official opening ceremony for the third game Qatar were due to play. 

A Sunday start for the World Cup had been ruled out a few years ago, after talks with European influential leagues that lasted until November 28, requiring four matches a day during the group stages.

The Match Schedule:

A daily schedule was agreed upon by FIFA game 13. However, the match between Qatar and Ecuador will include some players who play for European clubs and  give the host country an exclusive day to open the tournament. 

The 2022 World Cup will be  the traditional northern hemisphere summer season in the tournament’s 92-year history.

This is the first time the tournament will be held outside of Japan. All 21 editions before that were  played between  the end of May and the end of July.  

FIFA has decided to postpone his 2015 season to November and then to December to avoid the scorching heat of Qatar’s summer.

Despite the opposition of most  European footballers, they were unhappy with closing their domestic leagues during their peak weeks. 

The 21st November to 18th December tournament schedule has been agreed to allow European clubs to play over the  weekend of 12th to 13th November before dropping players off to  32 World Cup teams. 

The final will take place on Sunday, Qatar’s National Day, allowing  players to return to clubs for a full week before the Premier League hosts a traditional Boxing His Day match on 26 December.

Qatar bid to host in June-July promising innovative stadium cooling technology to overcome heat expected to reach 45 degrees Celsius (113 degrees Fahrenheit) during the first World Cup held in the Middle East. 

In December 2010, Qatar won a controversial contest beating the United States bid 14-8 in a final round of voting by the FIFA executive committee.

More than four years later, FIFA moved the tournament to be played on dates when temperatures should be around 25 to 30 degrees C (77 to 86 degrees F)
